MV Sletringen III

In June 2019 Berge Rederi AS signed up for a newbuilding with Dayang Shipyard in China (Shanghai). MV Sletringen was delivered 23 Dec 2021, and rebuilt to to a self-discharger with excavator next year in Tallinn. Sletringen is unique in regards of being a hybrid vessel. This means she possess a dual power source (diesel + electrical). She is also equipped with an electrical excavator. Optimalization of the hull and the propeller are the most significant contributors to an impressively low consumption pr loaded ton/Nm. Additionally, the emission of CO2 is very low, and the emission of NOX is close to zero. This vessel fulfilled all our primary goals in efficiency, economy, and low environmental footprint. The cargo capacity is 8150 Tn, with 2 cargo holds of a total 12100 cbm consisting of 2 movable bulkheads. The vessel's main cargo were raw materials for the salmon and agriculture industry in Norway. Outbound cargoes are mainly dolomite, crumbles, timber and split.
