Titran
In January 2010 Berge Rederi AS rented Leistein from Inter Caric II AS (Blystad Rederi AS) on a BBCP and renamed her to MV Titran. It was not easy to finance vessels during this time. Berge Rederi AS bought Titran in 2011. The name Titran originated from the place close to where Anne Gunn and Magne lived at that time.
The vessel was already a self-discharger with a cargo capacity of 4500 t. In the beginning of 2010 Titran had an extended docking after a period in the Caribbean. A new excavator (Volvo 700) was also fitted.
The vessel's main cargo is raw materials for the salmon and agriculture industry in Norway.
Outbound cargoes are mainly dolomite, crumbles, timber and split.
Additionally, the vessel is equipped and certified for trading voyages across Arctic areas. (Polar code)
