MV Kjervaagsund
History
In February 2018 Berge Rederi AS bought the vessel Frieda from Intersee Schiffarths - GMBH and renamed her to MV Kjervaagsund (6000 dwt) The name Kjervaagsund originated from a place close to Titran on the Island Frøya. Kjervaagsund was rebuilt to a self-discharger with excavator same year in Tallinn.
The vessel's main cargo are raw materials for the salmon and agriculture industry in Norway. Outbound cargoes are mainly dolomite, crumbles, timber and split.
Kjervaagsund is equipped and certified for sailing in Arctic waters. (Polar code)
